What to do, step by step

  1. Request the document in writing from Maple Bear (transcript, certificate, transfer papers or diploma) and write down the protocol number.

  2. Keep the answer or refusal: withholding documents because of late payment is prohibited (art. 6 of Law 9.870/1999).

  3. The institution may collect the debt through legal means, but it cannot withhold documents or apply academic penalties.

  4. If there is no solution, go to Procon and file a complaint on the consumidor.gov.br platform.
